Shelbyville's Brandon Brown acknowledges the crowd after making a putt in the 113th U.S. Open Championship, which took place last Thursday through Sunday at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa. Brown, who birdied his first hole of the championship, shot a 12-over-par 152 in the first two rounds to miss the cut by four shots.
Brown has an Open to celebrate

Brandon Brown had said that playing in the 113th U.S. Open Championship was the fulfillment of a dream.

But Brown wasn’t dreaming when he woke up Friday morning and found his name among the Open’s leaders.
