  • Adams receives scholarship

    Keith Adams was the first recipient of a $1,000 scholarship given from the Keaton McMurray Memorial scholarship and a $1,000 tool set was donated from Napa.     Area students were among 327 members of the class of 2015 who graduated from Centre College at the 192nd Commencement ceremony in May. This year's class included multiple national award winners, as well as an ROTC commission. Local students were:

    Harris graduates from Northern

    Tiffany Marie Harris graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. A 2010 graduate of Shelby County High School, she is the daughter of Jerome and Denise Harris and mother of Jeriah Harris.

    The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Class of 2015 assumed the title of “doctor” during the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16. The graduating class consisted of 113 students who will pursue 22 different specialties.

    Rogers graduates from Baylor

    Baylor University conferred degrees on more than 2,300 graduates during spring commencement exercises in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus. Jenna Celeste Rogers, of Simpsonville, Bachelor of Arts, medical humanities, cum laude.

  • Local student wins scholarship

    Jacob Barnett dreams of researching new advances in agriculture.  Rachel Sibert loves animals and would like to care for them as a veterinarian.  Taylor Nash believes nothing would be better than teaching future generations about the science he loves – agriculture.  All three of these young people will begin following those dreams with the scholarship help of the Louisville Ag Club.
