    Janice Hockerof Shelbyville has been named to the dean's list at Ohio Christian University College of Adult and Graduate Studies for the spring 2015 semester. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and be enrolled in at least 12 graded semester hours.

  • Student/Citizen of the month at SATC

    Students enrolled at the Shelby County Area Technology Center receiving the Student of the Month for March, which is a student who is exemplary in the academic areas of the classroom were: Sara Clark, business; Tatum Downey, health science informatics; Abbigayle Brown, health science; Amber Flores, information technology; Sheldon Curry, automotive; Dakota Ransdell, machine tool; Kyra Tate, Math/English.

  • KFB visits Cornerstone

    Members of Kentucky Farm Bureau recently visited with kindergarten and second grade classes at Cornerstone Christian Academy. During the visit they read an agricultural book to the classes, donated books and a seed activity to the students and filmed a brief segment for Farm Bureau

  • SCHS FFA speech contest winners

    The local FFA speech contest at Shelby County High School was Feb. 25 and the winners were Sophia Brown, Lauren Patton, Christopher Dean, Kayci Campbell, Rae Deckert, Lillie Wood, Britney Cox, Brittney Goodman, Michael Ewing, Daniel Wood, Keke Manson, Will Janes, Ben Greenwell, Luke Mckinney, and Morgan Rood.

  • Corpus Christi student wins art contest

    Kara Wauriowas the 2015 Jim Claypool Conservation Art contest winner for area 4. Kentucky Farm Bureau and the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts (KACD) partnered with each other so young Kentuckians could participate in the long standing tradition of the writing and art contest. Kara is a fifth grader at Corpus Christi Classical Academy in Simpsonville.
