  • SCPS students at KYA

    Ninety students in sixth to eighth grades from Shelby East and West middle schools and Collins and Shelby County high schools joined 1,000 other students from around the commonwealth for the 2015 session of the Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA). Students were especially proud and eager to attend this year due to Jacob Hisle of Collins and Ben Brown pf SCHS presiding as Governor and Speaker of the House, respectively.

  • Cornerstone students fill shoeboxes

    Cornerstone Christian Academy encourages regular mission and service projects throughout the school year at all grade levels. This Christmas, the elementary students, first through fifth grades, have chosen to collect items to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

    Ketcham accepted to UC

    Andrea Ketcham of Shelbyville was accepted to the University of Cumberlands for the upcoming academic year. She is currently a student at Collins High School.

  • Cornerstone students celebrate Vet day

    Cornerstone Christian Academy honored Vets during their annual Veterans Day program, sponsored by the student council. The students invited military friends and family to join them for breakfast and a recognition ceremony. It was the school’s privilege to welcome retired and active members of the Armed Forces to campus.

  • Cornerstone students celebrate ‘Ag Day’

    Cornerstone Christian Academy held the annual “Ag Day” event which is an all-school event that allows students to receive hands-on education about various aspects of agriculture. Students visited vendor booths, were able to see farm equipment and animals up close, and enjoyed a cookout lunch provided by sponsors.
