“Son,” Dad spoke calmly, in what sounded like the beginning of a punishment speech, “one day you’ll learn not to jump into everything so quickly. You have a knack for making decisions and asking questions later, instead of asking questions first and then making decisions.”
“I’m sorry, Dad,” I said. “I’ll put all my allowance toward the disco ball and earn extra money for the rest. I’m just mad I was ripped off!”
