  • The third annual Shelby County Relay for Life Pageant hosted by Team Fit for Life (Peggy's Posse) was Saturday at Shelby Christian Church. The net amount raised after the $250 scholarship to the Miss Relay winner was $4,135.58 for the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life event will be held May 16-17 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the front lawn at Jefferson Community and Technical College.

  • Mark and Jeannie Wilborn of Bagdad announce the engagement of their daughter, Margo Paige Wilborn, to Corey Scott Williams. He is the son of Ryan Williams of Shelbyville and Tonya Hulak of Taylorsville.

    Wilborn graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is employed at Roll Forming Corporation as an executive administrative assistant and is currently residing in Richmond.
