    Olivia Clara Kane will celebrate her first birthday on April 27, 2011.

    She is the daughter Rebecca and Patrick Kane of Buckner.

    Grandparents are Sharon Warner of Louisville, Bruce Warner of Louisville; and Eleanor and Stuart Kane of Prospect. Great-grandparents are J.D. Warner of Louisville, Clarence Patterson of Finchville and the late Dorothy Jean Warner and Ida Belle Patterson.

    Shelby Chapter No. 170, Order of the Eastern Star "Honor Masons Program" included Arthur Kile (front row from left) PGM; William C. Hinton, PGM; Richard Moffett; Ed Fegenbush; (back row) Hubert Huffman, Robert Woodward, Kenneth Terrell and James Probst. After a meal, a short program honored Masons and Eastern Star ties to them.

  • Engagement: Garrett-Adams

    Leon and Cynthia Garrett of White Plains announce the engagement of their daughter, Maeghan Garrett of Curdsville, to Ryan Adams of Owensboro. He is the son of Mike and Kathy Adams of Shelbyville.

    Garrett is a 2008 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and works at First Baptist Church in Owensboro.

    Adams is a 2007 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and works at Books Are Fun in Owensboro.

    The wedding will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 30, 2011, in Graham.

    All friends and family are invited.

  • Wedding: Rutledge

    Suzanne Casper Scott and Gregory Lee Rutledge were married on March 7, 2011, in the bride's hometown, Lexington. The couple share three children, Mathew Gregory Rutledge, Melinda Ann Claypool and Eleanor Anna Rose Scott. The couple and children reside in Shelbyville.

  • 25th Annniversary: Laddy and Lorie Haggard

    Laddy and Lorie Haggard have been married for 25 years. The couple were married April 19. She is the former Lorie Crenshaw.

    They have two children, Ashley Haggard Gordon and Josh Haggard, both of Shelby County. They have four grandchildren, Kaiden, Daegan, Jaelinn and Kinleigh.

    A shower will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday at their home. All friends and relatives are invited.
