    Parents of the bride are Chuck and Tammie Radcliff. The groom is the son of Robinn Barmore and Alan Dowell.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Chuck Radcliff.

    The maid of honor was Elizabeth Shemo of Shelbyville, friend of the bride.

    Leslie Brown and Jonathan Pernell were married July 23, 2011, at First Baptist Church Shelbyville.

    Parents of the bride are Jeff and Beth Brown of Shelbyville. The groom is the son of David and Shirley Moore of Simpsonville.

    Rev. Jim Brown officiated the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

    The maid of honor was Kayla Carrey of Shelbyville, friend of the bride.

    Chelsea and Sam Eppehimer were married Sunday, June 12, 2011.

    Parents of the bride are Dale and Rhonda Jones of Simpsonville. The groom is the son of Bill and Lori Eppehimer of Simpsonville.

    Steve Boyd officiated the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

    Honor attendant was Katie Reese of Simpsonville, cousin of the bride.

    Bridesmaids were Ashley Boyd, Ashley Standafer, Ashley Glassner and Abby Thurman.

    Best man was Bill Eppehimer of Simpsonville.

    Several 4-generations of the Kemper/Perkins family reunion gathered at the home of Wanda Kemper Perkins (seated fourth from left) and Bill Perkins (standing third from left, front row) on Aug. 6, 2011, in Shelbyville.

  • Birth: Reece Harrod

    Dawn J. and Mike L. Harrod of Shelbyville announce the birth of their fourth child, third son, Reece James Harrod, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. Grandparents are Marsha Puckett James, and Kitty and Horace Harrod, all of Shelbyville.

  • Birth: Case son

    Josh and Bree Case of Shelbyville announce the birth of their first child, a son, on July 16, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital. He has been named Brayden Michael Case.

    Grandparents are Garry Bruce, Mike and Debbie Case, all of Shelbyville, and the late Nancy Bruce).

    Great-grandparents are Betsy McClain and Sara Adams, both of Shelbyville; Jessie and Pat Bruce of Deford, Mich., and Dwayne and Mary Lou Fischer of Bay City, Mich.

  • 60th anniversary: Roberts

    Noble and Frances Maxson Roberts have been married for 60 years. The couple was married on Sept. 1, 1951 by the Rev. Minor Cole in Dumas, Ark.

    Frances Roberts began her professional career as high school English teacher and for 21 years was assistant professor of English at Campbellsville College, now university.

    Noble Roberts’ professional life included high school teacher, coach and principal. He served as chairman of the biology department and professor of biology at Campbellsville College.

  • Music recital at FBC

    Derrick Sanford, a senior at Eastern Kentucky University and a 2005 graduate of Shelby County High School, will have a violin recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the choir room at First Baptist Church Shelbyville. Sanford, a former student of Susie Saunders in Shelbyville, will be accompanied on the piano by Betty Jean Chatham.

  • 1956 Bagdad reunion

    Class of 1956 Bagdad High School met recently for its 55-year reunion. Eighteen members of the class attended.
