    Cornerstone Christian Academy graduated nine seniors on Saturday night.     Jennifer Nicole Nation and Michael David Peach, both of Shelbyville announce their engagement.

    The couple will marry June 16, 2012, at Claudia Sanders.

    She is the daughter of Paula Cissell of Shelbyville and is a manager at Citizens Union Bank of Shelbyville. He is the son of David and Jeanie Peach of Taylorsville and works for the Dr. Pepper Snapple group.

    The couple will live in Shelbyville.

    Linda Susan DeBakey and Allen Tomas Clark were married Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Highland Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

    The bride is the daughter of Douglas DeBakey of Houston, Texas, and Claire Kuperberg DeBakey of Columbia, Md. The groom is the son of Rev. Allen P. and Ana Clark of Shelbyville.

    The bride and the groom are both graduates of the University of the Cumberlands (2011/2012),  and Fred Cummings, the university’s associate professor of religion, was the presiding minister at the double-ring service.

  • 45th anniversary: Peggy and Wayne Puckett

    Wayne and Peggy Puckett will have been married 45 years on Sunday, May 27, 2012.

    They have three children, Mike (Cindy) Griffin, Judy (Scott) Wilson and Ed (Kim) Puckett; and six grandchildren, Courtney, Josh, Zach, Abbey, Jake and Alley.

    They will celebrate with their family during a cookout on Memorial Day.

    Bill and Bobbye McCarthy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2012, at Crescent Place Assisted Living. They both say they believe the secret to their marriage is making Christ the head of their household and always taking their marriage vows seriously.

    Donald Phillips of Shelbyville and Missy Browning of Pleasureville wish to announce their wedding at 4 p.m. on June 9, 2012, at the Apple Patch Chapel in Crestwood.

    A reception will follow in Pleasureville at the home of Zeb and Amegan Zaring.

    Parents of the bride are Mike and Aline Mounce of Cincinnati and the late DL Browning Jr. Children of the bride are Amegan Zaring and Timothy Hardin.
