Makaila Clark and Joey Fields of Shelbyvilleannounced the birth of their daughter, Khloe Elizabeth Fields, atBaptist East Hospital in Louisville at 12:55 a.m. on Dec. 12.

At birth she weighed 6 pounds 10.5 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.

Grandparents are Kay and James Braid of Shelbyville, Mike and Sherrie Clark of Shelbyville and Darlene and Ron Trandell of California. Great grandmother is Anna Gayle Owens of Shelbyville.

Christopher and Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Simpsonville announce the birth of their second child, a son, on Nov. 19, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital. He has been named Reed Christopher Fitzgerald.

Grandparents are Dale and Debbie Fitzgerald of Shelbyville and Carmine and Mary Garofalo of Centerville, Ohio.

Kevin and Stephanie Floydof Smithfield announce the birth of their son on Nov. 12, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He has been named Hunter Parker Allen Floyd.

The Hurstbourne Lowes and Masonic Home of Shelbyville built 200 wooden toys for the Center for Women and Families in Shelbyville. This group also gave 200 wooden toy gifts to the Cabinet for Families and Children Foster Care Division for Christmas parties earlier this month. Toys were also presented to Childtown Inc. Daycare. Elisa Sykes-Brees (from left) and Emily and Erin Smith delivered items for The Center for Women and Families in Shelbyville.

Erica Taylor was named the 2012 National Queen of the Commonwealth. Based upon the amount of community involvement, she was also named Philanthropy Queen. A Supreme Queen was awarded a $1,000 cash scholarship. This program exists to give females of all ages a vehicle to further their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which they can express their talents, intelligence and opinions on culture, politics and the community.
