Ginger Evans and Jay Mitchell were married Oct. 17, 2010, at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort.

Parents of the bride are Jimmie and Ruth Evans of Mount Eden. The groom is the son of Dick and Debbi Mitchell of Plano, Texas.

Wedding music was provided by Joanna Hay.

Judge Kathy Mangeot officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jimmie Evans.

The maid of honor was Shelley Evans, sister of the bride, of Mount Eden.

Family and friends will celebrate Martha Mason's 85th birthday at 3-6 p.m. Saturday at the Mulberry Building. All are invited to attend.

Zona Houchens of Louisville and Clarence Patterson of Finchville announce their engagement.

They are both members of Faith Separate Baptist Church in Louisville. She is the mother of Mitchell Houchens of Louisville.

Patterson, a native of London, retired from the Ford plant in 1992. He is the father of Sharon Warner of Louisville, Clayton Patterson of Ghent Connie Kendall of Cropper, Mary Jane "M.J." Patterson of Finchville, Clifford Patterson of Carrollton, Arlene Self of Shelbyville, Phillip Patterson of Bowling Green and the late Georgia Patterson.

Jenna Faye Clemons and James Bradley Calvert both of Shelbyville announce the birth of their son, on Feb. 25, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital. He has been named James Lucas Calvert. He was born at 1:25 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 1.5 ounces and was 20.5 inches tall.

Grandparents are Eddie and Joyce Singer of Shelbyville, Donald Osborne of Carrollton, Danny and Chris Calvert of Simpsonville, Bill and Michele Clements of Shelbyville, Sue and Tommy Newton of Waddy and the late Virgil Clemons.
