Celebrations

Luke Douglas Heflin celebrated his first birthday Aug. 22, 2011.

He is the son of Eugene and Julie Heflin of Mount Washington.

Grandparents are Wayne and Colleen Heflin of Bagdad, Jean Goodwin of Louisville and the late Mitchell Goodwin. Great-grandparents are Donnie Dye of Louisville and the late Maurice Dye.

Stephen and Patsy Grigsby announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Marie Grigsby of Shelbyville, to Michael Chad Cox of Scottsburg, Ind. He is the son of Tom and Judy Cox of Scottsburg, Ind.

She attended Shelby County High School and now works at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He attended Scottsburg High School and now works at LHP Software in Columbus, Ind.

The wedding will take place at 4 p.m. Sept. 17, 2011, at Jeff Reynolds residence.

The couple will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.

Roger and Aline Davis of Shelbyville were married Aug. 23, 1951, in New Albany, Ind.

They have two sons, Robert, and his wife, Ellazane Davis, and Mike, and his wife, Kim, Davis; one grandson, Justin; step-grandson, Josh Cook and his wife, Amanda; and three step-great grandsons.

They celebrated with a renewal ceremony in the presence of family and friends in the floral garden courtyard setting of Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center. Rev. Wes Curtis, employee of the center, officiated the ceremony.
