  • Wedding: Chisholm

    Jona Luttrelland Josh Chisholm, both of Shelbyville, were married Aug. 25, 2012, at Highland Baptist Church in Louisville.

    Parents of the bride are John and Janet Luttrell of Shelbyville. The groom is the son of Lonnie and Donna Chisholm of Pleasureville and Toby and Royetta Wardrip of Louisville.

    Rev. Jim Cavender officiated the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

    Maids of honor were Melissa Luttrell of Louisville and Lauren Luttrell of Shelbyville, sisters of the bride.

  • Birth: Cook daughter

    Dawn Renae Dixon and Chris Cook of Shelbyville announce the birth of their daughter on Dec. 12, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. She has been named Channing Noelle Cook. Born at 7:27 p.m., she weighed 7 pounds and six ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Grandparents are Tom and Bernice Dixon of Shelbyville), Larry and Cindy Roberts of Eastwood, Willie and Nadine Cook of Shelbyville.

    Great grandparents are Maggie Dixon of Cynthiana, Anna and Holbert Hearns of Frankfort, Geneva Cook of Shelbyville.

  • 60th anniversary: Quire

    John and Loretta Quire of Shelbyville have been married for 60 years and will celebrate their anniversary this week. They have five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. After retiring from General Electric, John Quire has continued to paint homes, and Loretta Quire is active in quilting, needlepoint and cooking for her large family every Saturday.

  • Eagle Scout award

    Justin Johnson of Troop 470 earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America on Dec. 11, 2012. Justin's eagle project was a construction project with the Kitty Cottage on 7th Street in Shelbyville. Justin is a sophomore at Collins High School and is the son of Bill and Laura Johnson of Shelbyville.

  • Wedding: DeLaet

    Blair Morse and Eric DeLaet were married Sept. 16, 2012, at Winter Garden, Fla.

    Parents of the bride are the late Gene and Pat Morse. She is the granddaughter of Betty Ryan of Shelbyville and the late Otto Ryan, the late Alvin and Louise Morse, and the late Lindsey Cornelius. The groom is the son of Ted and Ingrid DeLaetof Omaha, Neb.

    Rev. Glenn Ferguson officiated the ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Ryan Morse of Shelbyville.

  • Wedding: Dixon

    Mary Ellen and Ron Dixon were married Nov. 23, 2012, at Graefenburg Baptist Church in Graefenburg.

    Parents of the bride are Alfred Stucker of Graefenburg and the late Ellen Stucker. The groom is the son of Charlene Dixon of Finchville.

    Phillip Meade, the pastor of Graefenburg Baptist Church, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her children, Dylan and Leah Hulker.

    Best man was Austin Dixon.

    A small reception was held at the church following the ceremony.

  • Shelby baby born 12/12/12 at Baptist East

    Makaila Clark and Joey Fields of Shelbyvilleannounced the birth of their daughter, Khloe Elizabeth Fields, atBaptist East Hospital in Louisville at 12:55 a.m. on Dec. 12.

    At birth she weighed 6 pounds 10.5 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.

    Grandparents are Kay and James Braid of Shelbyville, Mike and Sherrie Clark of Shelbyville and Darlene and Ron Trandell of California. Great grandmother is Anna Gayle Owens of Shelbyville.

  • Birth: Floyd son

    Kevin and Stephanie Floydof Smithfield announce the birth of their son on Nov. 12, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He has been named Hunter Parker Allen Floyd. He was born at 8:03 p.m. weighing 6 pounds and 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. He has two older siblings, Brennen and Alivia Fuchs.

    Grandparents are Lee and Carolyn Sharp of Eminence, Glenn and Judy Floyd of Shelbyville.

    Great-grandparents are Todd and Carolyn Plappert, Joesphine Hawkins.

  • Births: Fitzgerald son; Floyd son

    Christopher and Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Simpsonville announce the birth of their second child, a son, on Nov. 19, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital. He has been named Reed Christopher Fitzgerald.

    Grandparents are Dale and Debbie Fitzgerald of Shelbyville and Carmine and Mary Garofalo of Centerville, Ohio.
