A Shelby County Grand Jury has indicted a Louisville woman on 22 counts of embezzling amounts greater than $300 at a time from William "Bill" Hysinger Sr., co-founder and partner in the real estate development firm Icon Properties LLC.
According to a Shelby County Sheriff's report, Hysinger, who is also known for his Hooters restaurant chain, lost a total of $22,806.74 from a series of thefts made from his accounts from May 2007 through November 2007 by accountant/bookkeeper Bobby Robeson, 56.
In addition to the 22 counts of unlawful taking of more than $300, Robeson has been indicted on two counts of theft by unlawful taking from Hysinger 's accounts by taking an amount less than $300 and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Sheriff's Detective Jason Rice said investigators are also looking at the possibility Robeson might have made other thefts from Hysinger's accounts in other jurisdictions.
Robeson was issued a summons by the Commonwealth's Attorneys Office, and is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. April 7 in Shelby District Court.
"We hope to make an attempt to recover restitution in this case," Rice said.
