An accident on I-64 West in Shelby County early Saturday morning claimed the life of an Ohio woman who was killed when her car hit a tractor-trailer head-on and burst into flame, Kentucky State Police said.
Patricia L. Browning, 28, of Ironton, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Shelby County Chief Deputy Coroner Jeff Ivers.
The accident happened at about 12:30 a.m., when Browning's black, 1988 Chevy struck a guard rail on the westbound side of I-64 at the 26-mile marker, according to KSP.
