Whiplash plays at Abbey Road on the River

A local guitarist and his band performed during the weekend event of Abbey Road on the River. The teen rock band Whiplash was formed in the fall of 2007 in Louisville and have played at the event every year since 2009. They have wowed crowds with classic rock tunes such as “Heartbreaker” and “Midnight Rambler.” The band's music has been influenced by the Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Jimi Hendrix. Whiplash played at the Water Tower during the Great Steamboat Race in association with the Kentucky Derby festivities.
