It’s always refreshing to encounter a true hero. It’s even better when the person is unassuming and doing an act of human kindness and care rather than for camera time and, even worse, money.
But that’s what we have in Rodney Kidd, a police officer in Simpsonville.
In case you missed the story – which has gone viral in the horse world – Kidd had left his shift with the SPD when he was driving down Colt Run Road and saw a barn on fire. He called 911 and ran into the barn, where he found a horse in a stall beside a live electrical wire.
