Planning to be airlifted to Florida

By Lisa King

A Florida man who was in a serious auto accident on I-64 Dec. 22 is now on the way back for treatment, said Detective Jason Rice.

Terry Ray, of Orlando, was involved in the accident near 38-mile marker, a location of numerous accidents this year.

Ray drove off the road and into a ravine, and firefighters had to lift him back up to the roadway using a winch. He was airlifted to the University of Louisville. Detective Jason Rice said Ray ran off the road due to a medical condition.
