Titans’ teams sweep their own cross-country event

Collins’ cross-country teams swept Saturday’s Titan Classic, the first regular-season home match at Collins.

“It was a good day,” Collins Coach Stephen Drawbaugh said. “We had a lot of PR’s, or close to PR’s.”

Collins eighth-grader Gabby Karas captured the girls’ race despite an early wrong turn on the 5,000-meter course. Still she finished in 19 minutes, 0.7 seconds to win by more than 1:40.
