Teachers endorse Young for state Rep.

Two local teachers' associations endorsed Bill Young for state representative yesterday.

The Spencer and Shelby County Educational Associations held a press conference on Tuesday morning to announce their support for Young, a Democrat, as he challenges incumbent Rep. Brad Montell for the 58th district house seat this November.

Young, who was an educator in the Shelby County Public Schools system for 28 years, said having the support of local teachers is "among his highest honors."
