Suspects sought in burglary

Police are asking for the public’s help in gaining information about a burglary that occurred at the J’s Gas & Food Mart in Simpsonville.

On Nov. 1 at around 2 a.m., two white males in a maroon vehicle used a pitchfork to break into the business, scarring the glass door before breaking it.

They were in the location for several minutes while stealing multiple cartons of cigarettes. One suspect was wearing a blue University of Kentucky hooded sweatshirt with light-colored jeans and dark shoes.  The second suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans with what appeared to be a bleach stain on the left leg and dark Nike shoes.

The vehicle is described as an early 2000s sedan, maroon or burgundy in color, with 5-spoke rims missing center caps on the left side.
