Kentucky State Police is asking the public for help in recovering a stolen trailer and three remote control airplanes.

The theft occurred in Spencer County in the early morning of Sept. 22. Unknown subject or subjects stole the trailer with remote airplanes inside it from the Finish Line Automotive located on KY 55 in Taylorsville.

KSP investigators believe that it possible that the thieves were unaware at the time of the theft the airplanes where inside the trailer.

The trailer is described as a 6 x 10 single-axle box trailer. The trailer is all white with white rims with a single door on the front right side. There are two double doors open to the rear. Inside the trailer is a self built shelf made of approximately 1-inch angle iron frame welded together with a single cross member. The shelf runs horizontally across the full width of the trailer with a cut out on the right side located at the front door.

The first plane is from a Carden Aircraft, Model Extra 330, 40-percent size (approximately 110 inches total length from nose to tail), wings are two piece and individually would be approximately 55 inches in length per side. The plane is finished in a TOYOTA scheme, with red and yellow as the primary colors.

The second plane is a Composite ARF, Model Yak 55, 2.6-meter size (approximately 95 inches from nose to tail), wings are two pieces and individually would be approximately 48 inches in length per side. The plane is finished in red, blue and yellow and has two metallic greenish vinyl stickers on the bottom of each in a starburst pattern. The vinyl graphics are not part of the original composite structure and will be unique to that plane. The airplane was equipped with the following equipment: 28x10-inch Mejzlik carbon fiber propeller, 5.5-inch TBM brand carbon fiber spinner. The motor is a Desert Aircraft 100cc twin opposed cylinder gas motor with electronic ignition and JTech Exhaust. Radio equipment consists of 2x Futaba PCM 168DP Receivers, 9x HiTec HS-5995 digital servos, Fromeco Batteries - Lithium Ion 3x 2400mah, 3x Fromeco Voltage Regulators.

The third plane is an Extreme Flight, Model Yak 54, 87-inch size (approximately 78 inches from nose to tail), wings are two-piece and individually would be approximately 40 inches in length per side. The plane is finished in red, blue and yellow. Custom HiTec graphics on wings and "team DDD" graphics on the cowl will uniquely identify this plane. The vinyl graphics are not part of the original finish and will be unique to that plane.

The airplane was equipped with the following equipment: 23"x8 Menz 23"x8 wood propeller, 3.5-inch Dave Brown brand aluminum spinner. The motor is a Desert Aircraft 50cc single cylinder gas motor with electronic ignition and stock Desert Aircraft Exhaust. Radio equipment consists of 1x Futaba PCM 168DP Receivers, 7x HiTec HS-5945 digital servos, Fromeco Batteries - Lithium Ion 1x 2600mah and 1x 2400mah, 2x Fromeco Voltage Regulators.

Anyone with any information about the trailer or the planes is asked to call the state police at 502-227-1221.
