State final berth on line tonight

When Collins football coach Jerry Lucas said when he looks at Warren East, he sees a team very similar to his own.

“They’re a lot like us,” Lucas said.

Only one of the two squads will see itself in next Friday night’s Class 4A state championship game, though, and that will be the winner of tonight’s semifinal between the Titans (10-3) and the unbeaten Raiders (13-0). Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Titans Stadium.

Both teams have more than a few likenesses.
