Simpsonville Parks & Rec is offering an adult men’s church basketball league. Cost is $300 per team (18 & over). It’s a Monday night league beginning Feb. 6. Sign-ups end Jan. 27. Collins softball breakfast

Ducks Unlimited Banquet
The Shelby County Duck Unlimited Chapter will host dinner with a silent and live auction at Claudia Sanders Dinner House on Friday, Feb. 3. Happy hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner following. Auction, raffle and prize items include guided hunts, guns, gear, and much more. Cost is $50 per person or $60 per couple. Children are encouraged to attend. Fast-pitch softball clinics
The Shelby County Parks & Rec Department is offering a girls’ fast-pitch softball clinic on Sundays in January and February. Clinics are Sunday afternoons from Jan. 15 through Feb. 26 at Settles Gym (Old West Middle) for girls between 7 and 14 years old. Session highlights will include proper warm-up and conditioning, fielding, throwing, batting and baserunning techniques, as well as individual instruction for pitchers and catchers and understanding the rules of the game. Soccer sign-ups
Shelby County Parks and Rec. is offering sign-ups for spring soccer leagues. Sign-ups began Jan. 1. League games will be played mostly on Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons. Leagues are as follows: Pee-Wee (4-6-year-olds), cost is $50; Under 8 (6-8-year-olds), cost is $75; Under 10 (8-10-year-olds), cost is $75; Under 12 (10-12-year-olds), cost is $75; Rec plus teams, cost is $100; Select teams, cost is $125. Child’s age as of May 1, 2012 will determine their league. T-Ball (4-6-year-olds) cost is $50. Instructional (7-8-year-olds) cost is $75. Minor (9-10-year-olds) cost is $75. Major (11-12-year-olds) cost is $75. Babe Ruth (13-15-year-olds) cost is $75. Sign-ups will end March 4. There will be a $10 late fee after that date.
