MaxPower softball benefit
There will be a fundraising dinner benefitting Max Power softball from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Firefresh Barbeque. Proceeds go to fund the Max Power softball program.

Fast-pitch softball clinics
The Shelby County Parks & Rec Department is offering a girls’ fast-pitch softball clinic on Sundays in January and February. Clinics are Sunday afternoons from Jan. 15 through Feb. 26 at Settles Gym (Old West Middle) for girls between 7 and 14 years old. Session highlights will include proper warm-up and conditioning, fielding, throwing, batting and baserunning techniques, as well as individual instruction for pitchers and catchers and understanding the rules of the game. Collins softball breakfast
The Collins softball team will have an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Applebee’s on Shelbyville Road in Middletown. Tickets, advance or at the door, $5. Call Coach Jim Axline at 502-379-9518 for tickets, or see one of the Titans’ players.

Ducks Unlimited Banquet
The Shelby County Duck Unlimited Chapter will host dinner with a silent and live auction at Claudia Sanders Dinner House on Friday, Feb. 3. Happy hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner following.  Auction, raffle and prize items include guided hunts, guns, gear, and much more.
