Joseph Maddox cut part of his paper in half to make a flip book in which he wrote down words corresponding with the tricky sound of Y...ones that sound like E versus ones that sound like I. The activity was during the Summer Reading Academy, which Joseph loved, saying, “I’m going to be a better reader when I go to the fourth grade [at Clear Creek Elementary]. I think I will be ahead of everyone else!”
