You will be seeing a lot of Rand Paul and Jack Conway in the coming months. You’ll get your fill of candidates for the U.S. House, the state Senate and one judgeship. You’ll hear about those vying for the Shelbyville City Council, the Simpsonville City Commission, the Shelby County School Board, sheriff and one magisterial and two constable districts. The preliminary is done, and the big race is ahead. And many candidates on the ballot for the General Election on Nov. 2 can take it easy. Shelby County Attorney Hart Megibben, for instances, has no opponent.
