Sheriff’s office asks for help in locating car-theft suspect

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is appealing to the public for help with locating a person of interest in connection with a car theft at a truck stop in Waddy.

This person was caught on video at the Flying J Truck Stop in Waddy. He is wanted for questioning about a vehicle theft. Anyone who may have information about the identity of this person is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

The incident happened Jan. 22 at about 6 a.m. when a vehicle was stolen from the Flying J Truck Stop on KY 395. The vehicle was recovered a few days later in the Hickory Ridge Road area.

A male subject was photographed by the truck stop’s security cameras. He is wanted for questioning in reference to the theft.
