The Shelbyville City Council and the Triple S Planning Commission held a workshop Wednesday evening to discuss some of the early goals and objectives of the 2010 Shelby County Comprehensive Plan.
“It was an opportunity to review the goals and objectives that Triple S proposed and get the council’s input,” Shelbyville Mayor Tom Hardesty said. “I thought it was a very good workshop.”
The categories of the plan are Transportation, Community Facilities, Land Use, Natural/Historic resources and a new category, economic development.
Triple S is also working to schedule input workshops with officials in Simpsonville and with the Shelby County Fiscal Court.
Multiple workshops are possible in the future, as Triple S listens to feedback and makes changes or additions to the goals and objectives of the plan.
