Shelbyville Police Officer Scott Simpson retired Oct. 31 after spending 11 years at Shelbyville PD and 20 years total in law enforcement. He has also been in the Army Reserve for 23 years and is considering going to active duty now, he says. He is the son of Burnie and Hilda Simpson. He and his wife, Kitty, have two children, Brandon and Jessica. “I’ve very much appreciated the opportunity to serve the people of the community,” he said.
