Jeffersontown Police have charged a Shelbyville woman with leaving her 9-month-old son in her minivan while she went shopping.
The incident happened at Lowe's on Hurstbourne Parkway around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, when temperatures were below freezing.
Erica Robison, 26, of Bald Mountain Circle was cited for second-degree wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
She told police she left the child in the car while she was shopping because the infant was sleeping.
Police said the boy was not injured.
