Shelby native to play recital in Louisville

Pianist Susanne Busey Osberg, a native of Shelby County, will perform at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church in Louisville at 5 p.m. Sunday.

The program includes J. S. Bach’s Italian Concerto and portions of Franz Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage (Years of Pilgrimage).

Osberg grew up in Bagdad and studied piano with Edith Hayes Carter in Frankfort. She later studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music, where she was awarded a B.Mus. in piano performance. She was awarded a graduate assistantship at the University of Massachusetts and received her M.Mus from that institution.

She currently teaches and performs in the Boston area.
Choral Evensong follows the recital, with repertoire by Stanford, Moore and Carter.

Admission is free, and the church is located on the corner of U.S. 42 at Wolf Pen Branch Road.
