Shelby County Fiscal Court likely won’t make a deadline to update the county’s alcohol ordinance – but the process is moving quickly.
The process, required by a new state law, is supposed to be completed by Wednesday so that governments can continue to issue new licenses to applicants, and Shelby County officials say they are working to expedite the process.
“It’s in the pipeline; we should have it ready to go by the end of this week,” Shelby County Attorney Hart Megibben said.
