Morgan (left) and Katie Maddox, freshmen at Collins High School, attended Oak Ridge Military Academy Leadership Adventure Camp in July. The academy, established in 1852, located outside of Greensboro, N.C., is the second-oldest military academy in the United States. The camp, which had 23 in the class, has a substantial physical component and all campers participate in military formations, marching drills and leadership training. The Madoxes repelled off a 50-foot tower and a 60-foot rock cliff.
