Shelby County Grand Jury Indictments March 14, 2014

Russell Franklin was indicted for being a persistent felony offender.

Benjamin Quintero Jr., 20, of 304 Shelby Manor was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dustin T. Bynum, 21, of 1642 Juniper Drive was indicted first-degree burglary and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Russell E. Nation Jr., 32, of 430 Mack Walters Road was indicted for first-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest, theft by unlawful taking, fraudulent use of a credit card, possession of marijuana and public intoxication.

Robert C. Broughton, 28, of 3746 Bethlehem Road in Pleasureville was indicted for first-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment and retaliating against a witness in a legal process.

Michael S. Clare, 22, of 300 Main St., No. 2, was indicted for second-degree burglary.

Christ M. Asberry, 20, of 12413 Cropper Road, and Michael S. Clare, 22, and Tone D. Smith, 19, both of 300 Main Street, were indicted for theft for unlawful taking, firearm, complicity, theft by unlawful taking under $10,000, complicity and possession of marijuana, complicity.

Amanda D. McGuire, 29, of 10116 Benson Pike was indicted for first-degree burglary.

Chad Black, 36, of 150 Propus Drive in Mount Washington and Keith Mullins, 33, of 189 Carla Drive in Mount Washington, were indicted for theft by unlawful taking, and first-degree fleeing and evading police.

Jason O. Mason, 22, of 5002 Sprucewood St. in Louisville was indicted for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, fourth offense, under aggravating circumstances, first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, third offense and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle.

Jennifer R. Stone, 37, of 5461 Finchville Road was indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card, and theft by unlawful taking under $10,000 complicity.

Joseph Napier, 55, of 1000 W. Market St. in Louisville was indicted for theft of a motor vehicle registration plate, theft by unlawful taking, possession of burglary tools, operating on a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, first offense, failure to wear a seat belt, operating a motor vehicle with no or expired registration plates and being a persistent felony offender.

David C. Franklin of unknown address in Shelbyville was indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine while possessing a firearm, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, first-degree criminal mischief, receiving stolen property under $500, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and being a persistent felony offender.

Ladraper Morris, 33, of 303 Webbmont Circle was indicted for being a persistent felony offender.
