A multiagency roundup this week has gone into homes of all 67 sex
offenders in Shelby County – and those in surrounding counties -- to ensure they are staying in compliance with the law.
The U.S. Marshals, with the help of 15 police agencies, including Kentucky State Police, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Shelbyville Polic Department, checked out each registered sex offender in Shelby and surrounding counties Monday through Wednesday to make sure they were in compliance with the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
