SCHS wins journalism awards

The Kentucky High School Journalism Association awarded to members of Jacinta Newsome’s Media Production classes at Shelby County High School these awards: Class AAA Newspaper Division, Thomas Johnson, junior, received first place for an article written in the Review category; The Spotlightstaff received third place in overall newspaper design. Class AAA Yearbook Division, SCHS received third place in general excellence; second place in writing style; second place in the advertising section; third place in overall coverage.
