The Shelby County High School dance team recently attended the National Dance Alliance Dance Camp at the University of Louisville. The dancers were awarded a superior rating for their team dance and a bid to the NDA National Championship in Orlando in March 2013.Each dancer received numerous ribbons during the week for their demonstrations of excellence in spirit, showmanship and technique. Senior Lauren Dale and sophomore Olivia Matlin were named to the All-America team. Team members are (from left) Alyssa Polly, Alex Skellie, Claire Schaefer, Olivia Matlin, Emilee Colvin, Lauren Dale (captain), Destiny Long (co-captain) and Heather Cook.
