Dan Sanders was “the man” Tuesday afternoon.
The Collins senior tossed a two-hit, 10-strikeout shutout as the Titans won their 20th straight game to start the season, blanking Belfry 6-0.
Of the 97 pitches Sanders threw 67 went for strikes. He also tossed 17 first-pitch strikes to the 25 Pirate batters he faced.
Collins pounded out 11 hits against Belfry (6-8). Senior Nate Clifton went 3-for-4 while juniors Zac Wiley and Mason Jeffries had two hits apiece. Wiley and Logan Bailey also scored two runs, while Austin Perry tallied two RBIs.
