The Shelby County boys' soccer team has played a brutal schedule this year, and it finally paid off Tuesday, when the Rockets upended No. 2-ranked and visiting South Oldham, 2-1.
"It was a huge win for us," SCHS Coach B.J. Andriot said. "I would imagine it's one of the biggest ever because it wasn't a fluke. We played great soccer and beat a very good team."
Both teams had several shots on goal in the first half, but the game remained scoreless until the Dragons (11-2) finally got on the board with less than three minutes before halftime.
