The SCHS football team wrapped a perfect run through the Grant County passing tournament Saturday with a 45-29 win over Western Hills in the championship game.
While Western Hills started strong, the Rockets' defense stiffened in the second half, basically shutting Western Hills down.
"They have a big quarterback, about 6-6, 220, with a rifle arm, and they scored 14 points in the first half, but they didn't score again until late in the game," SCHS head coach Todd Shipley said. "We played a little more man defense and changed up our coverages some."
