The Shelby County boys' basketball team opened its season on the road Tuesday with a 67-66 loss at Seneca.
The Rockets had 22 turnovers for the game, including nine in the fourth quarter when the Redhawks pushed the lead to nine points. Shelby rallied, cutting the margin to one point, 67-66, on Boomer Beckley's three pointer, but the Rockets couldn't come up with a foul before the horn sounded.
Cache Tomlinson led Shelby with 16 points, Donovan Johnson added 14 and Beckley chipped in with 13.
