Revolutionary War soldier’s grave dedicated

The Kentucky Society Sons of the American Revolution conducted a Patriot Grave Marking and Dedication service Oct. 22 for Revolutionary War soldier Pvt. Micajah Neal, who lived from 1753 to 1835.

The dedication was held at Clay Village Cemetery. Pvt. Neal was in the Col. Francis Taylor’s Regiment at Yorktown.  In addition to the Gov. Isaac Shelby Chapter of the KYSSAR, the ceremony was attended by several of the soldier’s descendents, who are members of the Neal family, James Champion, Linda Neal Whitaker, Joseph Champion, Jean Neal Anderson and Ralph Carey.
