Daylen Hocker, Rita Gomez and Aaron Randolph had the tough task to determine whether to rent or buy a place to live – even though they are only eighth-graders. The students at Collins High School were working on a financial lesson in Stephanie Robinson’s class. All agreed that college is the answer to a good career. Rita talked about the importance of budgeting her money and getting a job, which Aaron said was the key in order to pay all the expenses associated with living. “It’s expensive to survive,” Daylen said.
