Reading by storm

Emma Garner was reading The Storm by figuring out some of the words “by looking at the pictures,” pointing with her finger to lightning. There was finally the rain, and then she figured out “thunder” because the people had their hands covering their ears. “Every storm has to have thunder.” She also made the prediction before reaching the final page, “There will be a sun….There is!” She is in a kindergarten/first grade class taught by Michele Hiatt at Simpsonville Elementary.
