Public hearing on Shelby County parks grants

Clear Creek trail, land purchase part of joint session

The long-range plans for parks in Shelby County – and pursuing the grants that encourage that growth – will be the focus of a meeting of several public agencies.

This public meeting, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Family Activities Center at Clear Creek Park, will be conducted by the Shelby County Parks and Recreation Board and will include members of Shelby County Fiscal Court and Shelbyville City Council.

At issue is the grants that the parks board is pursuing for two large projects:
