Shelbyville Police have arrested four people on heroin-related charges in a bust recently on Berea Street in Shelbyville.
Ty R. Thompson, 22, Ashley A. Johnson, 23, Alonzo L. Dixon, 18, and Treyvenn R. Reed, 18, all of 116 Berea St., were arrested Sept. 8 and charged with first-degree trafficking in heroin and first-degree trafficking in cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All but Thompson were first-time offenders to the charges. Thompson has a previous offense for trafficking in heroin.
According to a Shelbyville Police Report, Thompson was seen making several drug transactions at his apartment where he lives with Johnson and their two children, ages 2 and 3 years old. Dixon and Reed also were staying at the apartment without permission from the landlord, the report said.
When police obtained a search warrant, heroin and crack cocaine were found in Thompson and Johnson’s bedroom and also under a mattress, packaged for sale, in another bedroom where Dixon was sleeping.
Dixon had also been observed making drug transactions, police say. Reed, who had also been seen selling drugs, the report said, was asleep on the couch when police entered, and during the search, his cell phone rang, with the caller ordering a $40 rock of crack cocaine.
