Passionate about input

-A A +A

In Billy Betts’ fourth-grade room at Wright Elementary, tables were debating what items were needed if stranded on the moon. The critical thinking and problem-solving exercise had Thania Nava (second from right) become animated when making her point. Listening and evaluating her input were Dalton Sturgill, Sean Gardner, Devin Witt, and Savannah Ramey. Everyone agreed on these most important items: 1) two tanks of oxygen; 2) food; 3) 15 liters of water. Then the discussion jumped from one item to the other as one mentioned a first aid kit. However, Thania said, “I don’t think you would get hurt that much.” Said Dalton: “I was thinking first aid but now I’m thinking map.” They all agreed the least useful item was a box of matches because there’s not enough oxygen.
