North Hardin holds on to top Rockets

-A A +A
By Todd Martin

It was nearly Sunday by the time the Rocket football team finished the season opener, and that made it an even longer ride back to Shelby County.

North Hardin stopped Shelby County on two fourth-quarter drives to hold on for a 33-30 win in the second game of the Joe Jaggers Classic Saturday.

Shelby County had some standout statistics in the game -- Branden Cresap threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns, Ty Barnett had 50 yards rushing and Edwin Thomas caught nine of 10 passes thrown his way. But it was two special teams plays that cost the Rockets the most.
