Shelbyville Police say they are investigating persons of interest in a drive-by shooting at Bland Avenue and 10th Street Monday night.
Shelbyville Police Chief Danny Goodwin said that shortly before midnight, someone fired shots from a tan SUV, striking and penetrating a house at 619 10th St.
“Witnesses said a male subject with black hair and a white t-shirt hung out the window and fired several rounds,” Goodwin said. “One round struck a home on Tenth Street; the home was occupied but no one was struck. It [bullet] went through the front wall by the front door, and shattered a picture on the wall and lodge in an interior wall in the house.”
Goodwin said no arrests have been made at this time.
“We are currently working the investigation and have some persons of interest,” he said.
